In an aim to further strengthen its quality function, and to bring a refreshing new way to look at quality, Headstrong India announced the appointment of Alok Sharma as Vice President, Quality Management Group (QMG), Headstrong Services India.

Sharma comes on board with 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Headstrong, Mr. Sharma worked for two years at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in India as General Manager and Head of Quality for the Financial Services division.

Speaking on the appointment of Alok, Harsh Singh Lohit, Managing Director, Headstrong and global sponsor for Quality, said, “Quality is lot more than just meeting or achieving an industry certification. The IT services industry has moved beyond this initial approach. Today, we measure Quality as it impacts our customers and the productivity of our workforce. We consistently ask ourselves if the customer is more satisfied with our deliverables and if the individual is able to do more in the same hours at work, these factors drive our quest for Quality. Alok will drive the institution of a culture of Quality in all we do, and this must result in happy customers and happier employees.”

Sharma will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of delivery to the workforce and managers within the office and to the clients. Along with his team, Mr. Sharma will set up a common and robust framework of Delivery Quality in India and Manilla based on the CMMi framework by end of 2008.
