HCL Me Tab V1 budget ICS tablet available online for Rs. 7,699

HCL's latest Me Tab V1 features Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GHz processor with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and voice-calling support.

HCL’s latest Android tablet, Me Tab V1, is now available in the country via online shopping site Tradus for Rs. 7,699. The HCL Me Tab V1 runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with voice-calling support. The device is also available on Infibeam but priced at Rs. 7,789.

The Me Tab V1 is 11mm thick and features a 7-inch display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The Me Tab V1 is powered by a 1GHz processor with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The device has a 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, 4GB built-in storage and expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

For connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3G via USB. The Me Tab V1 comes with a 3200mAh battery. For apps, users of the Me Tab V1 will have to rely on HCL’s app store, as the device does not have Google Play store.

HCL has launched quite a few budget Android tablets in the country. The company recently launched the ME Y2 slate, featuring Android OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera, 7-inch multi touch capacitive screen with a 1024×600 pixel display, 1GHz Cortex A9 processor.
