When it comes to AI, for most of us, our first choice is ChatGPT. Even though it is quite popular and everything, it lacks that Indian touch. A couple of days before OpenAI’s Spring Update, Hanooman GenAI was launched. Hanooman is India’s own AI chatbot and is focused on the Indian audience. It is claimed that this AI model is more suited for the Indian audience. Read along to find out why it is more convenient for Indian users.
Let’s first start with Hanooman GenAI. This AI platform has been developed by Seetha Mahalaxmi Healthcare (SML) and Abu Dhabi-based AI investment firm 3AI Holding Limited. The AI model currently is live in 98 global languages, out of which 12 are Indian languages.

In India, not a lot of people speak or type in English. The language barrier with ChatGPT limits its reach. Hanooman GenAI, on the other hand, is available in 12 Indian languages. These include Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Sindhi. Since it is available in many Indian languages, its reach increased and more Indians can use it. Many more people can benefit from Generative AI and its capabilities as it is available in regional Indian languages. So, that’s a plus.
