Google’s popular chat-messaging service Google Talk has suffered a massive outage. A number of users have reported about not being able to see their contacts in the chat list. According to reports, even if you are able to see the contacts online in the chat list, message is not being sent.
Google, meanwhile, has confirmed the outage. On it’s App Status dashboard, Google has published the updates on the outage. Check them out below:
At 4:10pm, We’re investigating reports of an issue with Google Talk. We will provide more information shortly.
At 4:20pm, We’re aware of a problem with Google Talk affecting a majority of users. The affected users are able to access Google Talk, but are seeing error messages and/or other unexpected behavior. According to the Next Web, Android devices have also been affected by the outage. The site says reported issues include Android syncing issues and intermittent Push support.
