Google has announced that it has renamed its AI chatbot Bard as Gemini and unveiled a new dedicated Gemini app for Android. Google has also launched Gemini Advanced which provides access to the Ultra 1.0 AI model.
“Bard has been the best way for people to directly experience our most capable models. To reflect the advanced tech at its core, Bard will now simply be called Gemini. It’s available in 40 languages on the web, and is coming to a new Gemini app on Android and on the Google app on iOS,” the tech giant announced in a blogpost on February 8th.

Now, let’s talk about the Gemini Advanced. Apart from the rebranding of Bard to Gemini, Google has also announced a paid version of the Gemini called “Gemini Advanced.”

Gemini Advanced gives you access to Ultra 1.0, which according to Google, is the company’s “largest and most capable state-of-the-art AI model.”
With the Ultra 1.0 model, Gemini Advanced is more capable at highly complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions and collaborating on creative projects, according to the tech giant.
While the Gemini Advanced allows you to have longer and more detailed conversations, it also better understands the context from your previous prompts.
Gemini Advanced is available as part of the new Google One AI Premium Plan for ₹1,950 per month, starting with a two-month trial at no cost. This plan even provides you all the benefits of the existing Google One Premium plan, such as 2TB of storage.
In addition, AI Premium subscribers will soon be able to use Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets and more (formerly known as Duet AI).
