Google Nexus 7 screen popping up from its housing; screws to blame?

Reports on the Internet suggest that some units of the Nexus 7 seem to be suffering from screen popping issues. The screen on some devices starts creaking if pressure is applied to it and eventually pops out of its hinge.

User jam10238 has posted a solution, which involves opening the rear cover, and tightening the screws. Several users who have tried to fix the screws have said that they were many turns away from being completely tightened.

The forum has updated images on how to fix the screen of the Nexus 7 as well as a step-by-step guide. If you are too timid or don’t want to fix the device on your own, we suggest you take it to the electronics store you purchased the device from.
