Google ‘let it snow’ and watch snowflakes falling in your browser
With Christmas and New Year just around the corner, Google is already setting your mood into the festive spirit. All you have to do is type 'let it snow' in the Google search bar and your screen will turn into a mini window, showing snowflakes fall. After a few seconds, your screen frosts up, allowing you to make caricatures on your screen with the mouse. To resume to your home page, you need to click on the “Defrost” button.
Google is also celebrating the Jewish festival Hanukkah. If you search for 'Hanukkah' (without quotes), you'll see a string of yellow lights across the top of your screen. The new search trick is the latest in a series of tricks from Google's team of engineers, which previously mesmerised the world with their 'barrel roll'. By searching 'do a barrel roll', your screen turns upside down. Google gravity is another similar trick.
