What to expect at Google I/O 2025?

Just like last year, Google has hinted that AI will take center stage at this year’s event as well. The company will share Gemini advancements, new AI-powered tools, and Android 16. The event homepage already features a “Start building today” section, highlighting the Gemini open model, Google AI Studio, and NotebookLM.

In addition, we can see major updates related to Android, AI, web, and cloud. Developers can look forward to detailed technical sessions, product showcases, and hands-on demonstrations.

We aren’t really sure if there will be any hardware announcements during the event, either. But there’s still some time before the event takes place and if any such plans surface, we will update you.

What’s even more interesting is that Google I/O 2025 will overlap with Microsoft’s Build conference, which is scheduled from May 19 to May 20. While Microsoft is expected to showcase Copilot Plus updates, Google is likely to unveil more AI-driven innovations.

Let’s see what the tech giant has in store for 2025, we will have to wait till May to know it all.
