Google doodle celebrates 54th birthday of Keith Haring

Google is today celebrating 54th birth anniversary of artist and social activist Keith Haring by posting a dedicated doodle on its home page.

Haring was born in Pennsylvania on May 4, 1958. Haring came to limelight with his chalk drawings (graffiti) in the subways of New York. His bold lines, vivid colors, and active figures later became his signature style. His work aimed at sending across strong messages of life and unity.

One of the most notable works of Hair is The Radiant Baby, which is also said to be his symbol. Besides, Hair was also a social activist. To know more about Haring, head on to Wikipedia link.

Today’s Google doodle features bright and coloured bunch of people dancing and celebrating. The initial ‘O’ letter seems a Superman, who is all set to take off. The second ‘O’ has two people busy in a jig, while the letter ‘E’ features a man holding a card with heart on it.
