Google has added a new feature to Bard. This feature enables users to ask questions from Bard about YouTube videos. For those who are unaware, Bard is an AI chatbot which Google launched earlier this year.
Google announced on Bard’s ‘Experiment updates’ page, “We’re taking the first steps in Bard’s ability to understand YouTube videos.”

Giving an example, the tech giant said that if you’re looking for videos on how to make olive oil cake, you can now also ask how many eggs the recipe in the first video requires.

Google further mentioned that it has expanded the “YouTube Extension to understand some video content so you can have a richer conversation with Bard about it.”
In our opinion, the addition of this new Bard’s feature that allows users to ask questions about YouTube videos offers several benefits. Users can have more interactive and engaging conversations with Bard by asking specific questions about YouTube videos, leading to a richer experience.
Also, users can save their time by directly asking Bard AI chatbot for specific details from YouTube videos, eliminating the need to manually search or scrub through videos for specific information.
Google recently added a feature to its Bard AI chatbot that enables it to respond in real time, reducing the delay between prompts and answers. With the “respond in real time” option, users can see responses appearing progressively as they are generated, minimising the need for extended waiting periods.
In cases where the system anticipates that the response might not be suitable, users will see a blue “Skip response” button above the text field, allowing them to swiftly stop Bard’s output and explore alternative options.
