Go Tech launches funTab 2G Talk for Rs. 6,999

Go Tech has launched the funTab 2G Talk tablet in India for Rs. 6,999. The tablet boasts of 2G calling, 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM

Go Tech has launched a new tablet in the Indian market. Called the funTab 2G Talk, the device boasts of a SIM card slot with the ability to make voice calls and 2G data connectivity. The tablet has a 7-inch display with a 480×800 pixel resolution.

In terms of other specifications, the Go Tech funTab 2G Talk boasts of Boxchip A13 Cortex A8 1.2Ghz CPU and a dual-core Mali-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with the ability to be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The tablet also supports a data dongle as well. It houses a 2MP rear camera and VGA front-facing camera for video calling. In terms of storage, the device has 4GB built-in, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It runs on Android 4.0.3 ICS and is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

The device comes preloaded with a bunch of apps such as BookMyShow, HotMail access, cricket info, AajTak, Indian Railways information, Yahoo Mail, Perfect World clock, Tubemate, King soft Office, ebuddy Messenger, Attano Edu TV, Ebook Player, Hungama My Play, Bollywood App, and more.

The tablet also comes preloaded with an exclusive app called Guide My Treatment app. The app is aimed to help bridge the gap between the medical world and the patients. The app will help users get timely attention to their problems.

The funTab 2G Talk isn’t the first budget tablet that’s been announced of late to boast of 2G connectivity with voice calling. Recently, Pantel launched the Penta T-Pad WS707C for Rs. 7,999 and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box. In terms of specifications, the Penta T-Pad WS707C has a 1GHz Cortex A9 single-core processor, Mali 400 GPU and 1GB RAM.
