Garmin launches two navigation devices in India
Garmin Corporation has made its aggressive intentions very clear, as far as the Indian market is concerned, with the launch of the nuvi 40LM and nuvi 50LM devices.
Both navigation devices will cater to the budget segment. The 40LM has a 4.3-inch display, while the 50LM has a larger 5-inch display. Both devices will come with lifetime map upgrades for Free, under the “Garmin nuMaps lifetime” offer. Rivals offer map upgrades priced individually, or bundled together for an annual free – updates available every quarter.
“Being a company which has reached a mark of selling more than 100 million products, Garmin has always made it a point that they reach maximum number of people through constant innovation and modeling of devices according to the needs of the people. Whatever be the price of the product, we make sure that the quality is never compromised. There can be additions or deletions of features, but basic tenet of guiding the people to reach destinations safely should always be a priority”, says Tony An, Garmin Asia Managing Director.
As an addition to the package, maps of Singapore and Malaysia are also being bundled with the device. Features like Junction View, Highway Mode, House Search and Go To Home/ Office are available on both devices.
The LM40 is priced at Rs. 8,450 and the LM50 is priced at Rs. 9,990.
