SL1000 offers 50x optical zoom & powerful Optical Image stabilization; shooting range of 1cm super macro to a huge 1200mm extreme telephoto.
Fujifilm India has launched the FinePix SL1000 super zoom camera in the country, for Rs. 29,999. Featuring a 50x f/3.4 215.00mm zoom lens, the Fujifilm SL1000 can shoot from a 1cm super-macro to a 1200mm extreme telephoto. It features a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor.
The ‘super long 50x zoom’ capabilities of the FinePix SL1000’s lens are coupled with powerful optical image stabilization to minimize blurring at longer zoom lengths. The digital zoom onboard effectively doubles zoom to 100x, at 2400mm.
The Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 has an ISO sensitivity 12800, and a relatively fast aperture of f/2.9 (wide) to f/6.5 (telephoto). Fujifilm claims an autofocus speed up to 0.2 seconds, with a 10fps full-resolution continuous shooting mode. Images can be captured in RAW, JPEG, and RAW JPEG, apart from MPO 3D still images.

The SL1000 can shoot video in 1080i ‘Full HD’ at 60 fps with stereo sound. The SL1000 also features a 3-inch 920k-dot 180˚ tilting LCD monitor, and a 0.2-inch 920k dot viewfinder.
