Forward Industries forays into Indian market
Forward Industries has announced major investments in a formal expansion to India.
To spearhead the expansion, Eshi Jerome , Regional Director – India, Middle East & Africa has announced hiring of Ripunjay Gajjar as Country Head at Forward Indian Subcontinent based in Mumbai. Gajjar will be responsible for developing forward brand, partner network & retail channel business in the Indian & SAARC market. Prior to Forward, Gajjar spent 14 years in various sales and marketing roles including Sales Manager at Belkin India Pvt. Limited & many key Senior Sales Managerial positions at Cyberstar, SES Technologies.
He also said “For years, India has been the second-fastest growing major economy in the world & that could soon change, according to World Bank data, Indian economy is set to expand at a faster pace than the Chinese economy in 2012. The economy has benefited from robust domestic demand and a revival in investor and consumer sentiment in 2011. Moving forward in 2012 its speculated that the US$ 400 Billion retail market could be opened to overseas companies soon and then sky is the limit.”
