Facebook has decided to make its half a billion members happy, or at least those who regularly upload photos of people (friends), by providing a much awaited online face detection feature, which automatically selects human faces, and makes them ready for tagging! Celebrations are in order…

We’re now waiting for face recognition algorithms to be coupled with the detection process, to remove all tag-typing effort. What else is technology meant for?
