Corsair announced a range of new products and innovations at CES 2018. PC builders will be in for a delight with the new Corsair AX1600i PSU for enthusiasts, Corsair H150i PRO and H115i PRO liquid CPU coolers and Corsair Carbide SPEC-OMEGA cabinet. Corsair also released their range of wireless products for the first time with the K63 Wireless keyboard and K63 Lapboard Combo, Corsair Dark Core RGB and Dark Core RGB SE, and the Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mousepad.
Corsair AX1600i
Expanding over their range of PSUs, Corsair released a behemoth with the AX1600i for enthusiasts. As suggested by the name, the new PSU comes with a 1600W power and 80 Plus Titanium efficiency. Corsair claims that the AX1600i is the only enthusiast PSU to incorporate Gallium Nitrate (GaN) transistors for enhanced efficiency in a smaller form factor. The PSU also comes with digital monitoring and control through the Corsair LINK software. The AX1600i is available for $450.
Corsair H150i PRO and H115i PRO
Corsair upgraded their Hydro series of liquid CPU coolers with the H150i PRO and H115i PRO. The H150i PRO has a 360mm radiator while the H115i PRO has a 280mm radiator. Both of them comes equipped with RGB lighting on the pump, and they use Corsair ML Series fans to keep things cool. The new series also features Zero RPM Mode fan profile, Corsair’s new fan profile to stop the fans when the CPU runs at low temperatures. The H150i PRO and H115i PRO are available for $170 and $140 respectively.
Corsair SPEC-OMEGA
Joining the line-up of the Carbide series, the SPEC-OMEGA will be another tempered glass cabinet from Corsair. The new cabinet is essentially an upgraded version of the SPEC-ALPHA by adding a tempered glass side panel and one on the front as well. It continues the beautiful angled design that looks brilliant. The front-panel comes installed with an LED light strip and a 120mm LED fan. The cabinet comes in three choices of colours including white, red and black. The SPEC-OMEGA is available for $100.
Corsair K63 and K63 Lapboard Combo
Corsair released a range of new wireless products at CES 2018. The Corsair K63 is the company’s first wireless keyboard in the form of a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard. Currently, it’s only available with genuine Cherry MX Red switches, and can be connected using a 2.4 GHz wireless connection, Bluetooth or a wired connection through USB. The keyboard has per-key backlighting and supports the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software, while boasting of delivering up to 75 hours of rechargeable battery life.
Along with the K63, Corsair also launched the K63 Lapboard Combo to make it easier to use in your living room. All you need to do is insert the keyboard in the lapboard and you’re good to go. The lapboard consists of memory foam cushion underneath to make it comfortable on your lap. It also comes with a mouse pad on the right side so that you can use your mouse on the lapboard itself. The K63 Wireless keyboard and K63 Lapboard Combo is available for $110 and $160 respectively.
Corsair Dark Core RGB and Dark Core RGB SE
The Dark Core RGB wireless mouse connects using the same three-mode connectivity present on the K63 wireless keyboard including 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth and wired USB. The mouse has an ergonomic design with a contoured surface over the palm and thumb rest area. It can reach a maximum of 16,000 DPI using the PMW3367 optical sensor. There are three zones lit with RGB lighting that can be controlled using the CUE software. Due to so much lighting and a polling rate of 1,000 Hz, the Dark Core RGB lasts for up to 24 hours in a single charge.
For those who don’t want to deal with wires at all, the Dark Core RGB SE comes with Qi wireless charging compatibility. The features of this mouse is the same as the Dark Core RGB with additional support for Qi charging. Although it comes with the option of a wired connection, you can charge the mouse with the Corsair MM1000 Qi wireless charging mousepad or rather any Qi wireless charger. The Dark Core RGB and Dark Core RGB SE will be available by the end of this month for $80 and $90 respectively.
Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mousepad
The MM1000 has a micro-textured hard surface and a dedicated Qi wireless charging spot on the top right of the mousepad. It has a surface area of 260mm x 350mm, lined with a non-slip rubber surface underneath. There’s also a USB 3.0 passthrough and LED charging indicator that lights up whenever a device is charging. And yes, you can charge any Qi wireless charging supported device on the mousepad including smartphones. The MM1000 will go for sale by this month for $80.
