Elon Musk is one of the most controversial guys in the tech industry. A lot of people are unhappy with him, turns out he has upset his own transgender daughter now. Vivian Jenna Wilson, who is Musk’s daughter, has spoken against her own father. This comes after Musk commented on Wilson’s gender identity.
Vivian Jenna Wilson spoke to NBC News in an exclusive interview. This is where she responded to the comments of her father. For context, Elon Musk has said on social media and in an interview as well that Wilson was “not a girl” and was figuratively “dead”. He also said that he was “tricked” into authorising trans-related medical treatment for her at 16. Further, during a video interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, Musk said, “I lost my son, essentially.” Using her birth name he said that she was “dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”
To this Wilson responded that he was fully aware of his actions. During the interview, Wilson said, “I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged. Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide.”
Wilson also brought attention to how Musk was an unsupportive father who was rarely present. Wilson’s mother and Musk had joint custody, but she says that she and her siblings were mostly cared for by their mother or nannies. “He was cold. He’s very quick to anger. He is uncaring and narcissistic,” Wilson added.
Wilson was unhappy about how her father described her and viewed her queerness, she said, “My life should be defined by my own choices,” she reiterated.
