Educomp aims to enhance the education ecosystem with the launch of SmartSchools
Following the success of SmartClass, Educomp introduces a new product with never seen before features to transform schools across India.
Educomp, which provides education solutions right from pre-school toddlers to post-graduate students, launched Educomp SmartSchool (ESS), a successor to their flagship product, SmartClass. The ESS is the new addition to the Educomp SmartLearning suite of products consisting of 5 different solutions for schools, Educomp SmartSchool, 3D Labs, English Mentor, Educomp Insights and Educomp Online, together packed into one product.
Educomp has been present in the education ecosystem for over a decade and has been dedicated in improving the education ecosystem of the country. The ESS consists of many powerful features, which supposedly has never been implemented before. This product would help the teachers explain concepts to their students in a more intuitive way through videos and virtual experiments, giving the students a better learning experience.
The seminar for the launch was organized in Mumbai, addressed by Mr. Naveen Sinha, Regional CEO-West, Educomp SmartClass, to an audience of leading school principals from all over the city. He spoke on the various solutions provided by Educomp. He explained how the ESS was an integrated learning ecosystem with 3D content, SmartClass recommended plans and cloud-based real time updates. A demo of their 3D animation videos was also given at the event. To improve English speaking skills, Educomp provides the English Mentor which boasts a never-seen-before technology for voice recognition. It consists of modules to help students with spoken english, reading and writing skills, fluency and listening skills. A video about all the features of English Mentor indeed seem pretty convincing on how it could do justice to preparing students in english. Educomp Insights is also a unique product, which is a benchmarking service for students, teachers, school management and parents, tracking all the developments during their course work. To enable the exchange of information between students, teachers and parents, Educomp Online tries to make it easier.
The Educomp Group has provided solutions to over 34,500 schools, and around 22.8 million learners and educators across the world. Their research and development team has been working on these products with immense dedication over the years. All their products have been developed within the company and also outsourced. Following this new age classroom concept, a few principals showed concern about drifting away from the traditional methods of teaching and learning. The top officials of Educomp assured that their products are not a replacement to these methods but actually an addition to the existing system. The SmartClass system has not only been adopted by english medium schools but also by Marathi and Gujarati medium schools.
The launch of SmartSchool was also joined by the celebrations of the successful 10 years of Educomp’s flagship product SmartClass. The initial adopters of the digital classroom concept which included 17 schools were felicitated at the seminar. However this flagship programme has been no stranger to controversy. Last year a report in the Deccan Chronicle stated that 200 schools were preparing to sue Educomp over lack of maintenance and delay in solving issues related to their SmartClass program. Hopefully the issues have been resolved with this new launch of SmartSchools.
