EditorsKeys launches its lineup of media editing keyboards in India
Keyboards with editing software shortcuts on them to help editors get work done quickly
EditorsKeys launched its backlit shortcut editing keyboard series in India. The keyboards are priced at $119 with the first 50 customers getting it for an introductory price of $99. Along with existing variants of EditorKeys, Hybrid EditorKeys series keyboards that are compatible with Apple’s OS X iMacs and MacBooks as well as devices running Windows. The keyboards are designed to provide quick functions on the fly to editors with the shortcuts used in popular software printed on the keyboard. They also are backlit and have related operations clubbed together under one colour for ease to remember. The products from their studio series lineup that are specialised for a home recording setup were also on display. These devices aim to provide a studio-quality setup where ever you take your setup.
The Apple Final Cut Pro keyboard by EditorsKeys
As of now, EditorKeys has launched 16 variants of the keyboard that come with shortcuts from software like Avid Pro Tools, Presonus Studio, Cubase, Ableton Live, Sonar X3, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro CC, Avid Media Composer, Microsoft Flight Simulator X imprinted shortcuts on top of it. If you work on multiple software, you can get yourself a silicon custom skin and slap it on the keyboard whenever needed. Or you can get your keyboard completely customised by sending them the design. The intensity of the backlight can be adjusted to three levels according to one's preference.
The studio series lineup on display included headphones that come with a physical button to switch between noise cancellation modes, their high-end microphone series that can be connected to devices via USB, a portable vocal booth and an XLR to USB converter.
The Hybrid keyboard launched by EditorsKeys
EditorsKeys also has a cheaper version that costs $79 but there is no word on its availability in India. You can buy the existing keyboards through Vogue Culture Inc. as of now or until we see them listed on e-commerce websites. You get 3 years of warranty on the Mac keyboards and a standard one-year warranty on the Windows variants. EditorKeys also dropped a hint for gamers by hinting about releasing their gaming keyboard lineup in the near future!
