Digital Waves, a Bangalore based IT company has launched a new low-cost tablet in India, called the TabPlus Rio. Priced at Rs. 11,990, the TabPlus Rio bears a 7-inch 5-point capacitive display, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The TabPlus Rio tablet is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and Mali 400 GPU, and features 512MB of DDR2 RAM. Other features include an 800×480 pixel resolution display, 4GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g connectivity, 3G connectivity via USB dongle (only on select models), microUSB port, USB port, HDMI-out, front-facing camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
