Corsair introduces Vengeance gaming keyboards and mice for India

Corsair unveiled new Vengeance-branded gaming keyboards and mice for India at the World Cyber Games 2011 India Final, priced between Rs. 2,650 and Rs. 6,500. These included the Corsair Vengeance K90 and K60 gaming keyboards, as well as Vengeance M90 and M60 gaming mice.

All the four new gaming peripherals are expected to hit the Indian market by December, and looking at the price versus features, we expect they should sell quite well. Stay tuned for our reviews of these new Vengeance keyboards and mice.

Interestingly, Corsair also seems to have dropped prices for two of its Vengeance gaming headsets, with the Vengeance 1300 now bearing a MRP of Rs. 3,000, and Vengeance 1500 a MRP of Rs. 4,000. Check out our previous coverage of these two headsets, along with the lower-end Vengeance 1100.

Vengeance K90 Keyboard
Price: Rs. 6,500

The K90 keyboard has a professional grade brushed aluminium chassis with backlit, laser-etched keys, featuring four illumination levels that are adjustable directly from the keyboard. Featuring Cherry MX Red mechanical switches, the Vengeance K90 keyboard promises fast, efficient gaming action. The keys have 45 grams actuation force, with travel of 2mm for actuation, and 4mm to the bottom. Each key is rated for 50 million operations.

The Vengeance K90 keyboard has three banks of 18 macro keys (i.e., 54 individual programmable keys), along with macro record and bank select hot-keys, stored on 36KB of onboard storage. It also contains the standard multimedia keys, along with a weighted metal drum roller for volume adjustment. The K90 also features a Windows Lock key to ensure uninterrupted game play. It has a 2 metre non-tangle cable, with USB pass-through connector giving easy access to a USB port on the back of the keyboard, and featuring gold plated contacts. It has a selectable report rate, from 1000Hz to 125Hz, or roughly 1ms to 8ms of response time.

The new Vengeance K90 keyboard has adjustable rear and front feet tilt for optimum personalization and positioning. It also has a metal-top plate for increased durability. The keyboard also features full key matrix anti-ghosting, to prevent incorrect input even while pressing multiple keys – up to a 20 Key Roll-over (20KRO) on USB.

Vengeance K60 Keyboard
Price: Rs. 5,900

The K60 keyboard has a professional grade brushed aluminium chassis with laser etched keys, and comes with a ergonomic wrist rest. It comes with 10 additionally sculpted gaming keys (W,A,S,D and 1 to 6), which can be replaced with regular standard keyboard keys if required. Thus, it comes with a key extraction tool included and storable in palm rest.
Similar to the K90, the K60 has Cherry MX Red mechanical switches for fast, efficient gaming action, using 45g of actuation force. The keys have 2mm of actuation travel, and 4mm to the bottom. The keys have gold contacts, and are rated for 50 million operations.

Also like the K90, the K60 features a Windows Lock key for uninterrupted game play, as well as the regular six multimedia keys, as well as a weighted metal drum roller for volume adjustment. The keys feature a metal top plate for increased strength, durability and rigidity. The K60 also has a USB pass-through connector giving easy access to a USB port on the back of the keyboard, and has gold plated contacts. It too has a 2 metre non-tangle cable, with adjustable report rates and response time ranging from 1000Hz to 125Hz, or 1ms to 8ms. The K60 features adjustable rear and front feet tilt for optimum personalization and positioning. It also has full key matrix anti-ghosting for easy recognition of multiple inputs, with a 20 Key Roll-over (20KRO) on USB per second.

Vengeance M90 Mouse
Price: Rs. 3,200

Corsair calls the Vengeance M90 a “Performance, MMO/RTS Gaming Mouse.” It features a Avago ADNS-9500 LaserStream Gaming Sensor, with a 5700 DPI sensitivity that is adjustable in 100 DPI increments, on the fly. It also features user selectable report rates or response time, ranging from 1000Hz to 125Hz, or 1ms to 8ms. The M90 can track up to 150 inches per second, up to 30g acceleration, and features automatic frame rate control. It also has an adjustable lift distance, with five selectable levels to fit your play style. It also has surface quality detection.

The Vengeance M90 also features 15 programmable buttons, of which 9 are ergonomically placed side-mounted ones. The M90’s comfortable ergonomic design features soft-touch surfaces and grip improving textures. Its left and right click Omron switches are rated for eight million operations each. It also features 48KB of onboard memory for storing up to six “on the go” profiles with active profile LED. Its aluminium metal frame and base provide improved rigidity and mass distribution. It also features a solid metal, weighted scroll wheel with rubberized scroll surface for improved finger traction control and feel. Its Ultra Low Friction PTFE pads provide smooth performance and accurate gliding.

Its USB connector comes with gold plated contacts, and, has a 1.8 metre non-tangle cable.

Vengeance M60 Mouse
Price: Rs. 2,650

Corsair calls the Vengeance M60 a “Performance, FPS Gaming Mouse.” The M60 mouse features a Avago ADNS-9500 LaserStream Gaming Sensor, with a resolution of 5670 DPI, that’s adjustable in 100 DPI increments, on the fly. It features user selectable report rates ranging from 1000Hz to 125Hz, or 1ms to 8ms of response time. The Vengeance M90 is rated to track up to 150 inches per second, with up to 30g acceleration, and comes with automatic frame rate control. Just like the M90, it too auto-detects lift, with an adjustable lift distance and 5 selectable levels to fit your play style. It also features surface quality detection to aid in the evaluation of gaming surface.

The Vengeance M60 comes with 8 individually programmable buttons, as well as a side mounted sniper button that provides users with a preset DPI change when pressed, for enhanced precision targeting mid-game. It also features a solid metal, weighted scroll wheel with a rubberized scroll surface. The M60’s comfortable ergonomic design comes with soft touch surfaces and grip improving textures. Its left and right click Omron switches are rated to deliver up to 8 million operations.

The M60 features an aluminium metal frame and base for improved rigidity and mass distribution, and comes with three 4.5 gram user configurable weights, for optimal weight and centre of gravity control. The M60 has a USB connector with gold plated contacts, a 1.8 metre lightweight non-tangle cable, and Ultra Low Friction PTFE pads for smooth performance and accurate gliding.
