Comic books have taken over Hollywood now. With Marvel Comics making money hand over fist, it's clear that the stories found in comic books transcend the page and make for excellent movies as well. The success of the MCU and other comic book films have made that very clear. So, without any further ado, let's check out 4 other comic books that were turned into movies.

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life – Vol. 1

With a visually pleasing art style and a story that is suitable for all ages, Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life tells the tale of one Scott Pilgrim as he navigates life and love in Toronto, Canada through the prism of video games, pop culture and cool music . The book was turned into the excellent Scott Pilgrim vs The World which is directed by Edgar Wright. A book that can be read by people of all ages, Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life – Vol. 1 is funny, with and heart-warming. 

Oblivion

Oblivion is a tale of a man who has to scour the remnants of a destroyed Earth for human life and is then in turn tasked by said humans to help them destroy an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence that threatened to destroy everything. The book was adapted into a film starring Tom Cruise and is a great read for readers of all ages. The artwork is fantastic and the story is a morality tale that teaches us to stand up for ourselves. 

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Omnibus

Another one of Alan Moore's works, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a fun romp through literature as it features the likes of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde along with Alan Quatermain, Mina Harker, The Invisible Man and Captain Nemo teaming up to take on the dastardly Moriarty, the classic Sherlock Holmes villain. It's a true adventure with some excellent art to back it all up. 

Cowboys & Aliens

As the name suggests, this book is a fun-filled ride through the wild west where a bunch of cowboys come across the beginning of an alien invasion and must band together to stop it. The book was then made into a film starring Daniel Craig. Suitable for readers of all ages, the book is fun, full of adventure and action is also beautifully illustrated.
