After months of waiting, Google has lifted the lid off its Android Auto redesign. The new UI looks more compact and has been created to ensure quick communication thanks to its features that are quite simple to use. The Android Auto dashboard is also believed to be more personal now, according to Google.
Google has already started rolling the new dashboard out to the users, and one does not have to join the Beta program in order to get this new update. The redesign makes it easier to play music, communicate, and navigate different functions. Users can also open up Google Maps straight from the dashboard. There are also a couple of Material You-themed cards that can make it easier for you to find specific music or your favourite album.
Google also has a quick launcher now that will help you find recently-used apps easily. It also supports split-screen layouts for almost all apps. As a result, you can use Google Maps and Spotify at the same time.
The redesign has also brought updates to Google Assistant. It will now give you smart suggestions such as quick arrival time-sharing, missed call reminders, and instant access to podcasts and instant access. You can also use on-screen shortcuts to reply to any message or call quickly.
