CES 2018: HP announced affordable ‘f’ series of monitors with 1080p resolution and freesync, starting from $99

The new monitors from HP offers 1080p display, AMD's Freesync technology, and a bezel-less design, with a price tag starting as low as $99

HP has launched a range of new monitors starting from 21.5-inches to 27-inches with ultra-thin bezels and full HD resolution for a price tag starting from as low as $99. The new panels support AMD’s Freesync technology and give users 178 degrees viewing angles. 

The series is named the “f” series displays and the IPS LED panels has a non-reflective anti-glare protection on top. The monitor is able to produce 72% of the NTSC colour gamut and has an average brightness of 300 nits. The monitors have static contrast ratio of 1000:1 and dynamic contrast ratio of 10M:1. 

As for connectivity, the 22-24-inch monitors come with a single VGA and HDMI adapter while the 25 and 27-inch monitors sport an additional HDMI port. All the monitors have HDCP support. 

The monitors have a refresh rate of 75 Hz and response times are at 5ms GtG and 14ms GtG typically and 28ms GtG at maximum, enabling a ghost-free gaming experience. 

The monitors are offered in Jet Black and White. They have a 3.5mm inactive black space. The range starts from $99 (roughly Rs 6,287) for the 21.5-inch to $229 (roughly Rs 18,989) for the 27-inch. The monitors will be available from April 15, 2018.
