Call of Duty Mobile’s new update introduces a new multiplayer map - Diesel
Free and Premium battle pass offers a new weapon with high fire rate and minimal recoil - Maddox.
The update also brings a rewarding event that offers operator skins, character draws and attachments.
Call of Duty Mobile season 2 update has launched on February 23 at 5:30 AM IST. This season revolves around a post-apocalyptic theme and it goes by the name Heavy Metal. The update brings a new multiplayer map and modes, a new Battle Royale class, and a new assault rifle named Maddox along with some seasonal challenges, rewards and a new battle pass. The new multiplayer map, Diesel, in Call of Duty Mobile has already been teased a few weeks ago and now finally it's here. Here is a list of changes that you can expect in this update:
The Heavy Metal Battle Pass features a new weapon
The Heavy Metal battle pass in the update features free and premium items just like other passes. The items include new Operator skins, Weapon blueprints, calling cards and additional COD points that can be spent on your next Premium Pass or Store purchase.
The free Battle Pass features a new assault rifle named Maddox that gets unlocked at Tier 21. This assault rifle features a high frame rate, minimal recoil and an extended magazine which makes it perfect for mobile suppressive tactics. The free BP also offers a variety of camos, weapon blueprints and the Deadman’s Hand at Tier 50.
The premium pass on the other hand features post-apocalyptic operator skins which include the Marshall, Deadman, Domino and some spray paints. It also includes premium-tier weapon blueprints like the QXR, HBra3, SP-R 208 and the Koshka.
New Multiplayer Map and Modes
The new multiplayer map Diesel was first seen in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and is now introduced to CODM. The map features mid to long-ranged battles and focuses on both open and tight-situation fights. In order to survive in the battle, players need to be skilled to move around buildings, keep a check on their load-outs, switch around weapons and adjust their play style with the pace of the battle.
The update also introduces us to a new mode – Goliath Clash! This mode allows players to jump in as a Goliath and fight in Domination-style mode. These Goliaths can be upgraded and buffed by picking power upgrades. The mode offers three power upgrades i.e Blue, Red and Silver where the Blue provides a melee buff and improves movement speed, Red provides a health boost and reduces incoming damage and the Silver buffs firepower along with increased damage and health boost.
Seasonal challenges and other featured events
The update also brings events rewarding new Operator skins, Weapon blueprints, Battle XP and a new signature under barrel attachment. The store update also introduces new legendary character draws like the Nyx – Starstruck. Along with this, some other draws that are included in season 2 are Demir – Dark Spell, Sophia – Sand Dune and Killgore – Vengeful Flames.
These are some of the updates that are coming to Call of Duty Mobile on 23rd February. The new map, the weapons in the free battle pass and the upcoming draws will be interesting to play and experience. With the introduction of new weapons, the play style and gameplay will be improved and changed. And change is a good thing!
