One fan said, “I still can't believe it, What happened to me! It's Cheating It was my turn."
Ever since the Coldplay India concert was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for the tickets to go live. Coldplay is returning to India after nine long years and today was the ticket booking day. Fans eagerly sat with their laptops, and phones to quickly book the tickets to the concert in Mumbai. But they were met with some disappointment, which wasn’t that shocking, to be honest.
The tickets were scheduled to go live at 12 PM on 22nd September, but the sale was met with several technical issues. Lakhs of fans were waiting to secure a spot for the concert which will take place at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. So what happened was that lakhs of fans were waiting in the queue to get the tickets sharp at 12 PM. But instead of getting the tickets they got error messages on both the website and app.
A lot of fans also revealed that even though they had been waiting since 12 PM, the tickets had not gone live till 12:15 PM. It was only at 12:18 PM that a few were able to successfully get the tickets. Several users even faced crashes after the ticket sales went live.
Disappointed, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their disappointment. One fan said, “I still can’t believe it, What happened to me! It’s Cheating It was my turn, Ticket availability was around 30% each for 4 stands, but as soon as I selected, showed not available. This is literally heartbreak!
Even comedian Samay Raina tweeted, “Bookmyshow, why don’t you ask your team…to fix you 😭😭.” Fix You is a song by Coldplay.
Bookmyshow is the sole ticket distributor for the concert and is yet to issue a statement on the same. I hope they do because even I haven’t been able to grab my tickets. Did you face the same issue?
