RETURNAL
A challenging game with a story that slowly unravels itself to you, Returnal has you play as a space pilot. The pilot has crash-landed on the planet Atropos and is stuck in a time loop; the only way to break out of it is to deal with the immensely powerful inhabitants of the planet. The game is a roguelike, meaning you will restart from the beginning a number of times. Incidentally, the world rearranges itself every time you start a new run. It has a great science fiction setting and a fantastic story that plays out.
RATCHET & CLANK: RIFT APART
In this game, you don’t just fight aliens; you play as one. The player takes control of Ratchet, a Lombax with lots of charisma and style. Ratchet is quick on his feet and can leap across surfaces. As you progress through the platformer style levels of the game, you can gain access to more mobility options and weapons that are extremely fun to use and have a sci-fi feel to them. Ratchet is taken across galaxies and several planets, each with its stunning vistas and detailed environments in his journey. You can also take control of a second Lombax, a new entrant in the series.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Take control of Star-Lord, a witty, charming, action-packed, adventurous man travelling through the galaxy. The gameplay loop is pretty interesting, and you can only play as Star Lord, but moves for other characters are unlocked via progression, and you can command them in combat. The graphics are good, and the narrative is detailed.
Deathloop
Deathloop is an interesting game with a unique concept of time in video games. The main player is stranded on an island where it’s always a party. If anyone dies, they’ll just come back because of a time loop. At different times of the day, the world changes, and new characters and areas are unlocked. The player is tasked with defeating the forces that hold the key to breaking the loop to break out of this madness. Through the game, players can play either stealthily- thanks to various sci-fi mobility moves – or blast their way through enemies with an arsenal of weapons.
