Beats has finally launched the Powerbeats Pro 2 with a slew of improvements. Specifically designed for athletic performance, the new variant includes Heart Rate Monitoring for workouts, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and Transparency mode. The company claims to provide immersive, high-fidelity sound while improving comfort and connectivity. Here’s everything you need to know about the earbuds, including price, features, and more.
It includes personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking for an enhanced listening experience. Furthermore, Adaptive EQ optimises the sound in real time, adjusting frequencies based on the fit of the earbuds. It also has an IPX4 rating, meaning it is resistant to sweat, water, and extreme weather conditions.
Heart Rate Monitoring, designed for fitness enthusiasts, is one of the Powerbeats Pro 2’s major new features. The earbuds use LED optical sensors to track heart rate in real time and sync it with compatible fitness apps like Nike Run Club, Runna, Open, Ladder, Slopes, and YaoYao.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 features Apple’s H2 chip and offers seamless connectivity with Apple devices, including one-touch pairing, automatic switching, Audio Sharing, hands-free Siri, and Find My integration. The Beats App also provides Android users with customizable controls, battery widgets, and firmware updates. It also comes with advanced voice isolation technology, which uses a machine learning algorithm to reduce background noise.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 is said to provide up to 45 hours of total playback time (including the charging case) and 10 hours per earbud. Users will be able to enjoy 90 minutes of playback after just 5 minutes of charging.
For the first time, Beats has included wireless charging in the 33% smaller charging case, increasing the device’s convenience and portability.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 is available for Rs 29,900. The customers can get four bold colors options including Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange. Customers can purchase the device from apple.com/in, with on-shelf availability beginning February 13.
