Asus launches Transformer Book TX300 Windows 8 hybrid at Rs. 91,999
Windows 8 is pretty much the way ahead for any user of the OS, and given how we live in a post-PC world, Asus tries to bring the two worlds together.
Asus has just launched the Transformer Book TX300, which it claims is the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet and detachable notebook. It is 4mm thin at its thinnest, and 11mm at its thickest. The dock is 12.9mm thick. Present at the launch was Mr. Apratim Sharma – Country Product Manager – System Business Group, Asus India, along with Shah Rukh Khan, who expressed great excitement over the launch of their new product.
The Asus Transformer Book is a 13.3-inch notebook with a detachable tablet which has a full HD IPS touch panel and a 178 degree viewing angle. It comes with an Intel Core i5 processor along with separate storage for the notebook and tablet; a high-capacity hard drive and an ultra-fast SSD respectively.
The keyboard dock isn’t just a dock, as it packs in not just a 500GB hard drive, but also 2 USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN and a battery of its own. The device features ASUS SonicMaster audio with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower for rich and detailed sound. The TX300 also features an ambient light sensor along with a backlit keyboard that helps using the notebook mode of the TX300 in low light a breeze. Asus has rated the battery life of the TX300 at 5 hours in tablet mode and 8 hours in notebook mode.
The Asus Transformer Book TX300 will be available in India at an MRP of Rs. 91,999, across select Asus authorized retail outlets, starting the second week of July 2013.
