Apple is on a hiring spree as it gears up to open four new retail stores in India. The tech giant recently announced plans to expand its presence in the country by launching outlets in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. To prepare for this expansion, Apple is looking to recruit up to 400 employees, filling various roles across these new locations.

The company has begun advertising job openings on its official website, seeking both full-time and part-time workers. The hiring model will be similar to that of Apple’s existing stores in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Select City Walk, which employ around 90-100 staff members each, including part-time workers, reports MoneyControl. These part-time roles are particularly geared towards fresh graduates, offering them the opportunity to gain valuable experience by working flexible shifts at Apple stores.

Apple’s recruitment drive has also extended to popular job platforms like LinkedIn, where several recruiters have posted about available positions. “It’s amazing to see Apple expand across this incredible country in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. We are looking to talk to people across many roles,” one of several Apple India recruiters posted on LinkedIn.

The decision to open new outlets comes on the heels of the remarkable success of Apple’s first two flagship stores in India, launched in April last year. According to sources, the BKC store in Mumbai and the Select City Walk store in Delhi brought in around Rs 800 crore in revenue within the first year, making them some of Apple’s top-performing retail outlets globally. Notably, about 60% of these sales were attributed to the Delhi store, reflecting the growing demand for Apple products in the region.

Despite already having a strong network of premium resellers and multi-brand outlets across India, Apple’s physical stores play a crucial role in brand building. They offer a more immersive experience for customers, allowing them to explore products and attend workshops known as ‘Today at Apple,’ where experts guide users on maximizing their Apple devices.

In addition to the physical stores, Apple products are also available on its online store and through popular e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon. As Apple continues to grow its footprint in India, these new retail outlets are set to enhance the brand’s engagement with Indian consumers even further.
