Well, we all know that Apple is making a shift towards USB-C across its product lineup, and the upcoming M4 Mac mini might also embrace this change. The M4 Mac mini is expected to feature five USB-C ports—three on the back and two on the front—marking a notable upgrade from previous models, reports Bloomberg.

This shift aligns with Apple’s broader strategy of simplifying product designs and improving connectivity options. In addition to five USB-C ports, the M4 Pro variant will likely include an Ethernet port, HDMI connector, and a headphone jack, ensuring versatile connectivity for users.

This means that the new Mac mini would ditch the traditional USB-A ports, reflecting Apple’s commitment to modernising its hardware. 

In addition to its updated port configuration, the M4 Mac mini will likely come with an internal power supply, eliminating the need for an external power brick.

Meanwhile, Apple is currently preparing for its Glowtime event which is scheduled for September 9. At the event, Apple is expected to unveil the much-awaited iPhone 16 series. This series will likely include four smartphone models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

In addition to the new iPhones, Apple might also unveil the Watch Series 10. The Watch Series 10 is expected to feature a similar design to previous models but with larger display options of 45mm and 49mm. The event is also expected to see the launch of the Watch Ultra 3 and a third-generation Apple Watch SE.

Moreover, the tech giant is expected to unveil its fourth-generation AirPods at its Glowtime event. Rumours suggest that the AirPods 4 might be available in two variants, both equipped with a USB Type-C charging port. Furthermore, Apple might also launch the AirPods Max 2 headphones at the event.
