The highly anticipated Apple’s electric car is finally not coming. I still remember during the time of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, we saw so many renders and rumours about “Apple’s car”. However, Apple has finally terminated the project, as per the Bloomberg report. It was called the Project Titan and Apple was working on it for over 10 years. On Tuesday, Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams and Vice President Kevin Lynch announced broke this news internally.
However, what made Apple take this decision? It is one of the top tech brands in the world, yet couldn’t make an electric car. Here are reasons why Apple stopped the Project Titan.

There were many reasons why Apple finally decided to pull a full stop on its decade-long project to create an EV car, something which could compete with Elon Musk’s Tesla. Here’s what went wrong:
Ever since the project was started in 2014, it has been facing numerous hurdles. Leadership transition was a major reason behind this. Doug Field, who was an essential part of this project, quit Apple and is now at a senior position at the Ford Motor Company.

Well another possible reason is that Apple considered the ups and downs that the EV industry has gone through in the past ten years. The EV market experienced a significant slowdown in sales growth. This was because of many factors such as high prices and inadequate charging infrastructure. Even big automakers like General Motors and Ford are now thinking of producing more hybrid vehicles. Tesla also predicted a decline in EV expansion.
All this could have forced Apple to shut down its project. You let us know what do you think about Apple’s decision and stay tuned for more.
