Apple reportedly has major design changes in mind for iPhone 17, MacBook Pro, and more
Apple is reportedly working hard to make more of its devices sleek.
Apple might be extending a similar design ethos, which is making devices thinner.
The speculated Apple Watch X could be the thinnest Apple Watch yet.
Apple hosted the Let Loose event a couple of weeks back, where it unveiled its slimmest iPad yet, the iPad Pro. The company was so proud of this feat that it created ads that in turn created some controversy. But we’re not here to discuss that. We are here to discuss how the iPad Pro might not be the only “thin” offering Apple will offer in the future. If reports are to be believed, Apple is working hard to make more of its devices sleek.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared similar views in his Power On newsletter. He said that Apple might be extending a similar design ethos, which is making devices thinner, to the upcoming iPhone 17, MacBook Pro, and Apple Watch models.
Gurman further said that currently, Apple is working on a “skinnier” iPhone 17. This means that the iPhone 16 series will not have a thinner build and we will have to wait until next year, 2025, to get a new design on the iPhone series.

Even Apple analysts Jeff Pu and Ross Young have said that Apple might replace the Plus variant with a new slim version. The titanium body will still remain. This further supports Gurman’s claims.
As far as the other devices are concerned, particularly the MacBook Pro and the Apple Watch, Gurman didn’t reveal a lot. He said that we can get to see a similar design change on these too as Apple is aiming to make its products the lightest and thinnest in their categories.
Speaking of the Apple Watch X, it could be the thinnest Apple Watch yet featuring innovative magnetic attachments for easy swapping and attaching of bands.
These speculations suggest that Apple is trying to offer the industry’s thinnest devices. However, we should take this with a pinch of salt as there’s no confirmation from the company yet.
