Apple fans have been eagerly waiting for the next iPhone SE and iPad models, and recent updates suggest that the wait might be longer than expected. While earlier rumours hinted at a January 2025 release, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed that the iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 are more likely to launch by April 2025.

Historically, Apple has released all previous iPhone SE models in March or April, so a January release would have been unusual. The iPhone SE 4 is also rumoured to be called the iPhone 16E, marking a new chapter for the SE lineup.

iPhone SE 4 price in India (Expected)

When it comes to pricing, the iPhone SE 4 may come with a slight price hike. According to a recent report from South Korea, the new model could be priced above KRW 8,00,000. Globally, it will likely be priced around $500. This is a jump from the SE 3, which started at $429. In India, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to cost around Rs 50,000, which is about Rs 7,000 more than the iPhone SE 3.

iPhone SE 4 specifications (Expected)

Apple is expected to make significant design changes with the iPhone SE 4. Unlike the SE 3, which had an iPhone 8-like design, the SE 4 may take after the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display, a notch, and Face ID. This would be a major upgrade over the SE 3’s smaller 4.7-inch LCD screen with Touch ID.

Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 series. It might also come with 8GB of RAM, doubling the 4GB found in the SE 3. Another exciting feature is the 48MP camera.

Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to include a USB-C charging port and 5G connectivity, powered by Apple’s in-house 5G modem, replacing Qualcomm’s chips.
