Next week, Apple is hosting the Glowtime event, where the tech giant is expected to announce the new iPhone 16 lineup. Rumours also suggest that Apple can unveil new Apple Watches and AirPods. Additionally, there are emerging rumours that Apple could reveal new iPads, potentially successors to the iPad 10th Gen and iPad Mini 6th Gen, which have been due for upgrades for some time.

iPad Mini 7th Gen

The last iPad Mini that was launched by Apple was three years ago in September 2021. It was the iPad Mini 6th generation, which featured a new flat-edged look, USB-C ports, and support for the Apple Pencil 2.

There are rumours that the new iPad Mini (7th generation) will feature the A18 chip, which could bring new Apple Intelligence features like the updated Siri, Genmoji, and Image Playground. The new Mini is also expected to double its base storage to 128GB, matching the new iPad Air, while keeping the same starting price of $499 as the previous model. In India, where the iPad Mini 6 was priced at Rs 45,900, the new model might be similarly priced.

iPad 11th Gen

The iPad 11th Gen probably won’t see a major redesign or tech upgrade, but it’s expected to be priced higher than the current model. Rumours suggest that this iPad can also run on Apple’s A18 chipset. If not, it will likely come with at least the A16 chip from the iPhone 15 series.

The iPad 11th generation might come with a higher storage option. It wouldn’t be surprising if Apple increased the base storage to 128GB, aligning it with current trends when the new model is released.

Not just this, but along with new iPads, Apple can also announce a new Magic Keyboard. According to a report by Mark Gurman, the tech giant is in the works of making a new affordable Magic Keyboard for the upcoming iPads. However, Apple might not unveil this at the iPhone 16 launch event but it is set to roll out in 2025, as per Gurman.
