Apple has launched the iPad Mini 2024 at a starting price of Rs 49,900.
After three long years, Apple has finally launched a new iPad Mini today on October 15. The new compact iPad is powered by the A17 Pro chip, which was also used in the iPhone 15 Pro models. Apart from this, the iPad Mini 2024 is also capable of supporting Apple Intelligence and will feature Apple’s new AI features. The new A17 Pro chip offers a 30% performance boost, 25% GPU improvement, and a 2x faster Neural Engine. Moreover, Apple has launched the new iPad Mini in four colour options, which also include Pink, Blue, Starlight, and Space Grey.

iPad Mini 2024 specifications
The iPad Mini 2024 comes with an 8.3-inch IPS LCD panel, which Apple calls a ‘Liquid Retina’ display. Apple hasn’t revealed this yet but it is expected to be a 60Hz display. As I mentioned above, this iPad is powered by the A17 Pro chip, which will also allow it to support Apple Intelligence. Here are the Apple Intelligence features it will have:
- Writing Tools: Rewriting, summarising, and proofreading text across apps.
- Siri: More natural interactions, able to follow context from one request to the next.
- Memories in Photos: Create movies with typed descriptions and clean up backgrounds using AI.
- Image Playground and Image Wand: Tools to create playful images and transform sketches into polished images.
- Genmoji: Create custom emojis using descriptions or photos of friends and family.
Furthermore, the new iPad Mini 2024 is equipped with a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide front camera.
Other features of the iPad Mini 2024 include a USB-C port with high-speed data transfer of up to 10GB per seconds, 5G connectivity, eSIM support, and an all-day battery life as per Apple.

Apple has launched the iPad Mini 2024 at a starting price of Rs 49,900 for the WiFi model and Rs 64,900 for the cellular model. The pre-orders of this iPad have been lifted starting today and you can purchase it from October 23 from Apple’s official stores.
