Apple is thought to be preparing a redesign of its tablet lineup for the year 2024, as the company did not release any new iPad models this year. The Cupertino, California-based corporation is supposedly working on releasing new iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Apple also intends to simplify its confusing lineup of iPad models. The iPad Pro, iPad Air, normal iPad models from the ninth and tenth generations, and iPad mini are the five versions that the iPhone manufacturer now offers for sale. According to a recent source, the business plans to differentiate the Pro and Air variants, with the former receiving Apple’s latest M3 chipset.
As per Mark Gurman’s newsletter, the forthcoming iPad Pro might feature distinct specifications that set it out as the high-end iPad model. First and foremost, it is expected to be powered by a M3 chip. Further, it could include an OLED screen, an overhauled design, and a redesigned magic keyboard accessory.

On the other hand, the next iPad Air will use the less powerful M2 chip. Even while it is a level down from the Pro model, this will still be a significant improvement over the basic 10th-generation iPad, which is powered by the A14 Bionic chip.
It is reported that there will be two screen sizes available for the iPad Pro and iPad Air. There will be 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch display options available for the Air model, and somewhat larger displays (11 and 13 inches) for the Pro model. The next iterations of the iPad Air and iPad Pro are rumoured to make their debut in March 2024.

There is no imminent update scheduled for the 10th-gen iPad, as stated by Gurman in the latest newsletter. The 9th-generation iPad is anticipated to be continued until the introduction of its successor, the 11th-generation model. Additionally, reports are suggesting that the iPad mini will receive an upgraded chip in a future release.
