According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a known Apple analyst, there’s going to be a new Apple product releasing next year – the Apple iPad Mini. Based on his musings, Apple may be launching this product and then may eventually launch a foldable iPad too (a product that’s been the center of many rumours for a while now).
Kuo tweeted recently that the brand will launch the iPad mini which will be equipped with a new processor. The launch is believed to take place by the end of 2023 or early 2024. The brand has not revealed any details about the upcoming processor, however, many are speculating that it could be a next-gen A series or M series chip.
The iPad Mini price will depend entirely on the chipset used. If it does use an M series chip, then it may end up being as expensive as the iPad Air and iPad Pro models that also use M1 and M2 chips.
The Apple iPad mini released last year worked on the A15 Bionic chipset and had a flat edge design. It also offered 5G support, Touch ID, and the 2nd generation Apple Pencil.
Kuo also mentioned the alleged foldable iPad, saying that it will not be intended as a replacement for the iPad mini. Rumours indicate that Apple may launch a foldable iPad in 2024 and eventually venture into the foldable smartphone market in 2025.
