During its Glowtime event, which was hosted a couple of days back, Apple unveiled the latest series of iPhones, iOS 18, and announced that Apple Intelligence is coming soon. And finally, we have word that Apple Intelligence will make its way in October. Apple Intelligence will first roll out in October in the US with the release of iOS 18.1. Initially, the reach of Apple Intelligence will be limited. It will be available only in US English. Eventually, the same will be extended to other languages and regions. This will happen till 2025.

Further, Apple even confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be extended to other languages too that were previously not mentioned by 2025. These include Indian English, Singapore English, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. In December 2024, the service will also become available for English speakers in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.

However, Apple Intelligence will only be available on a total of six iPhones. This includes: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the newly announced iPhone 16 series. Currently, Apple Intelligence has been rolled out under the developer beta of iOS 18.1.

However, Apple Intelligence will not be available for iPhones and iPads in the European Union countries. This is because of the new Digital Markets Act. So, Apple Intelligence will be limited to Macs with the M1 chip or newer in Europe. Apple is currently in talks with the European Commission to address this limitation.

For those unaware, Apple Intelligence is Apple’s take on AI. With the roll out of the same, users will get new AI-powered features. This includes text-proofreading features, suggested replies in the Messages app, and a notification summary.

Are you excited to try out the new Apple Intelligence features? Do let me know.
