Steve Jobs, Apple’s co-founder, aspired to transform the computing business alongside Steve Wozniak in 1976. Even after being dismissed in 1995, Jobs returned to Apple in 1997 after the company acquired NeXT, which marked the start of the company’s good fortune as it introduced iconic products such as the iMac, iPad, and iPhone.
Apple, which was struggling in the computing sector at the time, rose to become one of the world’s most valuable companies under his leadership, thanks to his emphasis on innovation, simplicity, design, and user experience in developing a product and company culture that continues to this day, as per Tim Cook.
Tim Cook succeeded Steve Jobs as CEO of Apple in 2011, following his resignation due to illness. Cook can be frequently seen crediting Jobs as a mentor who helped create his leadership approach. Cook has also stated that Jobs’ emphasis on enjoying the process of innovation rather than focusing simply on the results continues to shape Apple’s vision.
