Just a few days left till September when Apple annually announces its new lineup of devices. We obviously are expecting the iPhone 16 series, but it turns out that Apple might also be storing a surprise for us. Between the new iPhones, Apple might also sneak in the upcoming Mac Mini.
As per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will launch the Mac Mini after the iPhone 16 series. It can feature the company’s powerful M4 chip. This means that we might get to see artificial intelligence capabilities with it.

It is expected to be the smallest Mac Mini ever and after 2010, we might finally get to see a design change. For reference, it can be as big as an Apple TV streaming box, which measures just 3.7 inches across. At the same time, it might be slightly taller than the current 1.4-inch high Mac Mini.
Speaking of the specs, as per media reports, the Mac Mini can feature an aluminum shell. It is described as an “iPad Pro in a small box”. The reason behind that is the fact that it will be powered by the latest M4 chipset. On top of that, the M4 chip will power all of Apple’s 2024 Mac models, this is the first time that Apple is using the same chip across its entire computer lineup.
Coming to the price point now, the current Mac Mini comes at a starting price of $599. So it is being speculated whether Apple will maintain a similar pricing, increase the prices, or reduce them.
Well, before leaving, I have another bonus for you. You might be thinking that the possible launch of the Mac Mini in October will put an end to Apple’s 2024 lineup. But that’s probably not the case. The company plans to roll out M4 chip-powered iMacs and MacBook Pros later this year, followed by MacBook Airs in the spring, and revamped Mac Pro and Mac Studio models by mid-2025.
