Apple announces ‘Scary Fast’ event for October 30: Here’s what to expect
The Scary Fast event will take place on 30th October at local time.
In India, we will get to see it on 31st October, which is Tuesday, at 5:30 AM.
We could see 24-inch iMac and updated versions of the MacBook Pro.
We’ve been talking about how new Macs could come out soon for some time now. Well, now it seems that these rumours might have been true. The California-based tech giant recently announced its October event and is calling it the ‘Scary Fast’, which probably is an ode to the upcoming Halloween season.
The Scary Fast event will take place on 30th October at local time. So in India, we will get to see it on 31st October, which is Tuesday, at 5:30 AM. The chatter on the internet claims that it is during this event that Apple will unveil the new iMacs and MacBook Pros.
If you remember, our previous report mentions how Mark Gurman, a journalist at Bloomberg reported that we could see 24-inch iMac and updated versions of the MacBook Pro later this month. So, it is being assumed that Apple might unveil them during the Scary Fast event.

Let’s take a look at the expected specifications of these two devices:
Apple iMac 24-inch
First up let’s talk about the display. We can expect to see obviously a 24-inch display with IPS LCD with 4.5K resolution. Along with that, it will have P3-wide colour gamut support and up to 500 nits of brightness. For the processor, Apple could incorporate the M2 chip with this new launch, as the 2021 iMac holds a generation-old M1 chip.

Apple MacBook Pros
Reports suggest that we could get two updated MacBook Pros: 14-inch and 16-inch. For the chipset, these MacBooks already have the M2 chipset. So, they could possibly get upgraded to M3.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg even noted how the 13-inch MacBook Pro and a high-end MacBook Pro are out of stock currently. This could mean that these two could also get updated during the event.
