Google has started rolling out the final Android 7.1.2 update for Nexus Player and Pixel C tablet. The update comes just weeks after the second beta of Android 7.1.2 was spotted for Pixel and Pixel XL devices. Android Police notes that only Nexus Player and Pixel C tablets are confirmed to be getting this update.

It's not clear when Android 7.1.2 will roll out for other devices but the update should definitely hit Nexus devices in the coming days. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 users should note that Android 7.1.2 update is not planned for these devices. The Android 7.1.2 is a minor update bringing some of the notable features on Pixel and Pixel XL to other Nexus or Pixel devices. The update brings Pixel's fingerprint gesture to Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, while the Pixel C tablet is finally getting the Pixel Launcher. The update is also bringing a new battery usage list.

It seems Google's Pixel C tablet is the biggest beneficiary of this new update. Some Pixel C users have observed that their tablet's software now looks more close to Pixel smartphones. Pixel C now also has the same button layout and a new multi-tasking menu. With Android 7.1.2, Google is probably unifying the experience across both Nexus and Pixel offerings.
