AMD Introduces three new APUs for System builders

AMD launches three new A series APUs in the market with 12, 10 and 6 CPU cores respectively.

Chipmaker AMD has introduced three new A series APU chips for System Builders today. The three chips introduced come with 12,10 and 6 CPU cores respectively.

“The AMD A-Series APUs bring a superior level of gaming and compute experiences to the desktop PC” said Bernd Lienhard, corporate vice president and general manager, Client Business Unit, AMD. The new APU’s support the Mantle API that simplifies game optimizations for programmers and developers that will help them to make bring better, faster games to PC.

The all new APUs are equipped with AMD Quick Stream, AMD Steady Video and AMD TrueAudio technologies, which AMD suggests would combine to deliver lifelike audio and video. Enthusiasts will be able to tap the configurable thermal design power option (cTDP) and can fine tune efficiency. Users will also be able to benefit from AMD AMP technology which will help boost their gaming experience with the AMD Radeon R9 2400 Gamer Series memory which has been tested and certified for AMD A10 APUs. The AMD A-Series APUs are now available worldwide through select e-commerce websites, retailers and system integrators.
