Acer's new gaming monitor series, the Acer Nitro XV3 series, was announced today at the next@acer event at IFA Berlin 2019.

The new series consists of four monitors, with 27-inch and 24.5-inch variants of two monitor models: The Acer Nitro XV273U S WQHD 165 Hz, and the Acer Nitro XV273 X Full HD 240 Hz.

All four variants are Nvidia G-Sync compatible and also enable Variable Refresh Rates (VRR) by default when connected to Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-Series or GeForce RTX 20-Series cards. Enabled VRR supports dynamic refresh rates and reduces screen tearing.

The monitors use IPS displays and feature Adaptive-Sync technology, which boasts a response time of up to 1ms at high resolutions, and also feature Visual Response Boost (VRB) to further reduce screen tearing.

All four variants come with Acer Game Mode – eight preset display modes which are meant to optimise visuals for different types of content, from different genres of games, to watching movies, and even an ECO mode. The monitors also feature black-boost, with 11 different black levels available to choose from.

The monitors come with Acer VisionCare, with technologies such as Flickerless, BlueLightShield, ComfyView and dimming technologies which supposedly make long gaming sessions more comfortable on the eyes.

All four monitors will be available in India starting February 2020, prices are yet to be updated.
