Finally, the new Apple iPad series is here! Apple has launched two new tablets today, the iPad Air 2024 and the iPad Pro 2024. The long-awaited iPad Air comes with Apple’s M2 chipset, whereas, the iPad Pro features the long-speculated M4 chip. Yes, this is the first Apple iPad that boasts a new M-series chipset before Mac or MacBook. Apple rolls out the new iPad Pro at a starting price of ₹99,900. Now, let me tell you about five cool features of the newly launched iPad Pro 2024.
As mentioned earlier, the Apple iPad Pro 2024 is equipped with an all-new M4 chip. Historically, Apple’s M-series chipsets were initially designed for MacBooks and Macs, but this marks the first iPad to feature a new 3nm M-series chip. Talking about its performance, it delivers 50% faster performance compared to the M2 chip. Apple claims the iPad Pro M4 is four times faster than its predecessor, the iPad Pro M3.
The OLED display in the iPad Pro was long-speculated, and the rumors were indeed true! The all-new iPad Pro features an OLED panel, boasting up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, as claimed by Apple.

Interestingly, this new tablet is the thinnest Apple product ever. It comes in two sizes; 11-inch and 13-inch. The 13-inch variant measures just 5.1mm. For more context, the Apple iPhone 14 is 7.8mm thick and this iPad is 2.7mm thinner than that.
Apple has announced the Final Cut Pro app on the Pro model. This app also has an AI feature called Subject Isolation, which will easily highlight the subject of an image or video. Apart from this, Apple has integrated AI in document scanning as well. The iPad Pro replaces your scanner by allowing you to scan documents and automatically stitch together multiple pages using AI.
The tech giant has launched a new Apple Pencil Pro for the iPad Pro at ₹11,900. It introduces squeeze gestures, dedicated hardware for haptic feedback, and supports double-tap gestures to enhance the digital art and sketching experience. It is compatible with the Find My network and magnetically attaches to iPad Air or iPad Pro for wireless charging.
