The Google Nexus 7 tablet was made available through the Google Play store a month ago, but it was only the 16GB model. Today, the 32GB variant has also become available, but interestingly, isn’t actually listed on the website.
If you’re curious, you can go to the Google Play store yourself and see that under the devices tab, only the 16GB variant of the tablet is listed. However, if you go to this link, you will find yourself in the company of the 32GB variant, all ready for purchase with the cool price of Rs. 18,999 (yes, listed in Rupees). The link, as far as we can tell, is completely legitimate and we are guessing that it was made live ahead of its time.
The Google Nexus 7 comes with a 7 inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass that would give it protection from scratches. It has a 1.3 GHz quad core Tegra 3 processor with a Geforce 12 core graphics processor, and 1 GB RAM. The tablet has GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities.
Earlier this month, Asus had officially announced the availability of the 32GB variant of the tablet for Rs 18,999 through their retail channels, but it was not available on the Play store. Looks like both Asus and Google are back on the same page here.
