PUBG Mobile has finally enabled support for 90fps

However the mode will be exclusive to OnePlus smartphones for a month

The compatible devices includes the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus 7T series and the OnePlus 7

PUBG Mobile players will finally be able to enjoy the game at 90fps. However, there is a catch. The higher frame rate will initially be exclusive to OnePlus devices. This includes the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus 7T series and the OnePlus 7 Pro. The partnership between PUBG Mobile and OnePlus will only last for a month starting from August 6 to September 6. After which any player with a smartphone that supports high frame rates can turn on the feature.

“With PUBG MOBILE being one of the world’s most popular mobile games over the past two years running, we would like to pursue the gameplay performance to a higher level. OnePlus’s cutting-edge mobile technology is delivering a faster and smoother experience to global users. We are happy to start the 90 FPS exclusivity with OnePlus.” A PUBG Mobile spokesperson stated. “Today’s transition to 90 FPS is a great step towards PUBG MOBILE’s exhilarating gameplay.”

A faster refresh rate will allow players a smoother gameplay experience, allowing them a clearer view during faced-paced gameplay sections like driving or in close-quarters situations where you’ll be turning around very quickly. This can come in handy in areas like Pochinki, Sosnovka and the Military Base where enemies can be around every corner.

Reports suggest that PUBG Mobile has been working on high refresh rates for the game for quite a while now. It is even suggested that the developers have been trying to bump up the FPS rates to as high as 120 on mobile. However, it is not yet known if or when that option will be available to players.
