French publisher Ubisoft has announced that a new game in the Ghost Recon series is currently under development at their studio in Paris. The name of this new game is a mouthful: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and it should be ready for release by this holiday season. Following the announcement, Ubisoft has launched the game’s official website and a teaser trailer. Much of the press release document is filled with marketing rhetoric and does not divulge any specific information about the game.
Ubisoft is targeting this summer to start multiplayer beta testing for their new game. However, to be able to participate in the beta, you may have to purchase another Tom Clancy game. The Xbox 360 version of Splinter Cell Conviction, which is due in April this year, will have access codes to the multiplayer beta.
