CD Projekt Red have introduced two new features to their upcoming game for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt– an animated and narrated storybook, along with flashbacks, so that players don’t get lost and confused in the colossal and complex plot and subplots.
Sources suggest that game is 35 times the size of its predecessor –The Witcher 2 : Assassin of Kings. The features have been introduced to solve the problems of over-complexity and repetitiveness through flashbacks. The animated story book in the game’s menu will also be used for the same purpose.
To ensure the game maintains a steady pace, the studio has introduced “event clusters” throughout the game, where a series of events will happen to break up the rhythm of the game into simple tasks. Quests will also be divided into categories across the game to ensure that game doesn’t get monotonous, which is generally the case in open-world games.
The game will be available on the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. However, its the PC version that you should gunning for, which includes the complete lack of any DRM and free exclusive DLC, unless you purchase via Steam as it will have the in-built Steam DRM).
